FOR THE TRUE MOUNTAIN BIKE ENTHUSIAST, BUSH BIKERS is for you! These ninth and tenth grade campers (Eighth Grade Campers who possess ADVANCED mountain biking skill are also eligible) will tackle the infamous mountain biking trails of Michigan's Keewenaw Peninsual near Copper Harbor, MI.
The Bush Bikers will ride the Copper Harbor Trails in the northern Keewenaw Peninsula while setting up base camp at Fort Wilkins State Park in Copper Harbor. These trails feature a 550 feet vertical descent on biking trails that are rated among the best in the USA. Not only is the ride exciting, but the views are spectacular as our campers will see vistas of Lake Superior and the Keewenaw Peninsula from some of the highest points in the Upper Peninsula.
The Bush Bikers also sea kayak out of Copper Harbor on Lake Superior to wrap up the incredible nine day trip. Campers must provide their own 18 or 21-speed mountain bike. Kayaks, paddles and life jackets are all provided.

A local bike store will rent bikes and equipment if campers are not able to bring their own. Call the camp office for more information if you are interested. There are a limited number of rental bikes so please call early. When renting a bike all needed equipment will be provided except the bike helmet. Campers must bring their own bike helmet.
